Gloria’s Family Gloria, her 11-year-old son, 8-year-old daughter and fiancé Lorenzo were living a comfortable life in Perú. Gloria ran the business she inherited from her father; Lorenzo worked as a computer technician. Welcoming Home volunteers gratefully accepted your generous donations on the morning of Sept 24; by early afternoon three teams were setting up the once almost vacant apartments, turning them into lovely homes for three formerly homeless individuals/families.

Our mission is to help individuals and families who are transitioning out of homelessness and poverty by fully furnishing and equipping their “new” homes. We engage the local communities in which these people live in donating funds and needed household goods to foster our mission of neighbors helping neighbors. We also believe strongly in re-using good furniture rather than having it go to landfill.
