This family of five, including a boy in first grade, a girl in third grade, and a boy in tenth grade, had to leave their apartment after many attempts to get their landlord to address a significant black mold issue. The apartment had experienced multiple incidents of flooding, to the point where the floors were spongy. Two of the children began experiencing significant health issues, and the situation caused a great deal of stress for the family. They made the difficult decision to leave the apartment and most of their personal belongings, including their furniture. They are now settling into a nice two-bedroom apartment with a spacious patio and are extremely appreciative of Welcoming Home’s help in furnishing their new home!

This family is deeply grateful to an anonymous sponsor who has already provided a starter kit of essential household items and will also cover the cost of brand-new beds, moving services, and other critical items that cannot be donated.

Welcoming Home is now working to gather the gently used furniture and household items needed to transform their apartment into a comfortable and welcoming home. We are once again reaching out to our incredibly generous and caring community to help give this family a fresh start. Please see the list below for the specific items needed.
