SUMMARY:11/22/2025 – Welcoming Event – Santa Rosa
DESCRIPTION:Sign-up Link for needed items: \n\nCynthia is a single mom of three boys – ages two, three and four. Cynthia works as many hours as she can as a chef. She drops her children off at daycare at 5:00 a.m Monday through Friday to get to her job by 5:30. In spite of many hardships, she is doing all that she can to provide for her boys.\nCynthia’s mom had her when she was 14 years old and is an addict. Same with her father.\nHer father passed away two years ago from a fentanyl overdose and she doesn’t have any other family.\nShe was with her kid’s dad for five years but he was mentally and emotionally abusive, and was not helpful with the children including not giving any financial help for the boys. She finally got the courage to leave and about three weeks later got laid off from her job.\nShe felt forced to make the decision to leave their apartment and get rid of everything because she didn’t want an eviction and knew she wasn’t able to afford it on unemployment.\nFriends took Cynthia and the boys in until she could get back on her feet.\nShe is starting all over again. It has been really hard as a single Mom with no family or anyone that could really help.\nShe has been very stressed out about how she can provide the basic essentials for her home as well as provide things for Christmas! She is especially grateful for the help of Welcoming Home right before the holidays.\nThis Welcoming is being generously sponsored by mother/daughter team – Randy Ruark and Laura Kenig. Their support will help us collect and install donated furniture and other household items, purchase brand-new beds for the clients and have all items delivered by professional movers from various donors to the client’s home.\n
